Lars - his story - in brief:
I'm working in Kongsberg
Simrad as a CIO. This means that IT strategy, computers and their
impact on individuals and the organizations is my main task. Knowledge Management and systematic use of efficient computer based tools in most working processes are my prime interest.
We live in a house close to the center of Kongsberg, and we like it
here !
Places and times for Lars:
In 1983 I joined the airforce and I did the main part of my
military service at SHAPE
in Belgium. I left SHAPE in August 1984. This was a very nice
place to do the service.....
Then I started to study electronics, in 1984, at Østfold College of Engineering in
Sarpsborg. I graduated in 1986, and the same year I was lucky to
get the Georgia Rotary Student Program, GRSP,
scholarship. I went to college in a nice city called
Milledgeville. The college was Georgia College, and I
had a really great year there. I also got to know the American
Greek life, and I was a member of Phi Delta Theta at
Georgia College.
Coming home from Georgia, I started to study computer science at University of Oslo. I took my major
at UNIK, and graduated with a Master of Computer Scince in 1990. The same year I started to work in Simrad Albatross. The company
has changed name, to Kongsberg
Simrad. We are a part of the Kongsberg Maritime
Group, which is the largest business area of the Kongsberg Group.
Karl Martin , born July 27th 1993, the same
date as my friend Bob, is my son (and my sun) and he
spends some of his days in Løvås kindergarten.
Einar was born 17th of May 1997, the Norwegian constitution day ! He is an active boy - see the pictures of him.
Last, but not least, Håkon was born February 26th 1999.

Curreently we have two private projects going, we are planning to build a new house and we are planning the vacation celebrating my mother in laws, Else, 60th birthday.
