I'm a manual transmission type, but I like a little power assist. :)
In other words, I usually prefer the 'hands on' approach. Though there
are a few things I find more convienient with edit*, such as when I'm
doing exit messages. I sometimes have trouble getting them straight, so
I just bop into editroom and doit there.

I didnt know about 'change'.. Aside from using .repl, there are times
when I just looked at my character list (ex me=**) and did changes
directly - ex: @set me=_ <whatever>, clipping the line and pasting back
in, editing the appropriate changes. Useful for non descriptive
settings.

I've often wondered about this one.. what would be the purpose of
banning a pet?

This one is easy.. just enter '@tel here=#0' (or the db# you are setting
as parent)

There have been numerous occasions when I wish I had @relink. We need to
get in installed. We also need backlinking. ex: @open out=#123,in which
automagically sets your return exit for you. I've been having to do this
separately.

Gosh! I didnt know that! This would have saved me tons of work. :) I
need to sit down and read all the command docs like I had planned to sdo
long ago. :P

Nothing to it.. just enter '@link me=<db#>' (err.. can non wizzes do
this?)
This is an excellent guide youve written. I think you should put in in a
muck help file for access online. Call it, 'newbyhelp' or something.
I'm getting ready to set up the 'news' files.. might be a good place to
put it. :)
