Subject: Multimucking, Property clearing
In response to another fur's letter (the name escapes me right now), he/she/it said that
multimucking was a bad idea. Well, it is, unless you possess a few key skills.
1:\> Quick Typing. 40 wpm or better is good.
2:\> Speed Reading. No real measurement for this one. If you think you read quickly, and others
comment on how amazed they are at how fast you read, then you're a speedreader.
3:\> Quick Thinking. Can you read, understand and think of a response quickly enough? If you have
two or more alts, you might try having a character in the park on FurryMUCK, in the Fenris Bar &
Grill, also on FurryMUCK, and another in HoneyBadger's Burrow. Probably the three most spammy
places on the muck that show up on the whereare list anyway.
If you can successfully do these three things, than multimucking is for you. Otherwise, take the
advice of the fur that I'm responding to, and don't multimuck.
Next, I wanted to comment on the Morph Hammer program. You can get rid of the excess bytes of
memory taken up by unused morphs by manually removing them, or if you don't mind erasing everything
ever set on your character, you can type '@set me = :clear' and it will make you into a brand new
character with no properties set other than the default ones. Contact your local wizard or
god/goddess for what these are.
