Welcome to WEB-D - A Delphi Project
Web-D was a project I started a long time a go to learn Pascal/Delphi and I came a long way. Now I want others to take part in the project.
(This page could of course look a lot nicer, but at the moment this is what it looks like... It to is a work in progress.)
By clicking the links underneath you can download the EXE-file or download the sourcecode in Delphi 4-format.
Web-D is a fully functional HTML-editor that uses a NOTEPAD-way of coding a homepage. I'm a fan of coding the thing myself, so that's why I made one.
The program supports loading and saving the following filetypes:asp, php, html, css, inc, txt, and *.*
You can also load files into a document.
Since this is a work in progress, I guess you want to know what needs to be done:
- There is no helpfile to this program, and it needs one. It also needs a way to connect to the helpfile. So if anyone want to document the program. Please do so. And if someone else (or the same someone) likes to add the help-code, please do so too.
- There is no code for table or frames. I have some ideas on how to do it, but no one that is really good. If you have ideas, or know a way to do it, create the code.
- If someone wants to look at the code and see if it can be made better, please do so. I don't mind. What I do mind however, is that the code should be done using Delphi 4, since that is the version I'm using... (I'm not made of money, and 4.0 standard is the one I'm using and the one that I upgraded to)
A sort of wishlist
- With the "new"PHP and ASP the regular expressions entered the land of web-parsed pages coding. A cool feature would be to "add" (implement or whatever) a dictionary of Regular Expressions or something. Just an idea.
- Table and Frames implementation
- An FTP-client and a TELNET-client to CHange MOD the files uploaded (if needed anymore)
- HelpFile
A list of what needs to be fixed
- There is a find code, but it can only find downwards. So If you have a code that finds upwards, add it if you like. Also: There isn't any replace-code either. So if you want to add that as well, that'll be cool...
- The program has one icon for the executable file, and one for the main program. It shouldn't have that. Haven't found a way around the problem.
At this moment WEB-D is a free program. And I guess it allways will be. If it do get commercialized, all those who has contributed will get their share...
All contributors will be added to the splash-page (which the program doesn't have - yet)
Well, here are the links to the downloads:
